Five Day Morning Class News 12/14/18
Blue Stars Weekly News, Recap, and Preview
This week’s theme is Santa’s Workshop. In dramatic play we have a Christmas tree set up for decorating, a cozy fireplace for sitting by to relax, and blocks used to wrap for presents to put under the tree. The class has really enjoyed exchanging pretend gifts!
Art this week: toothbrush painting, special parent gift, gingerbread house assembly, easel painting, popsicle stick picture frame.
Literature this week: Llama Llama Holiday Drama, Turkey Claus, Too Many Tamales, The Three Little Tamales, The Mitten. Thanks to Jo for sharing the Nativity story and the tale of Hansy and the True Spirit of Christmas!

• Please label ALL your child’s winter items: coats, hats, gloves, etc. Also, please make sure your child’s extra clothes are weather appropriate (long pants, please!)
• Just a reminder- car pick-up each day begins at 11:30 and ends at 11:40. Acorn policy is that kids are called to the gate, front porch, or office at 11:45. Thank you for giving the teachers time to clean the rooms before the afternoon classes begin preparing for their day!
• Show and Tell is every other Friday. Please send your child’s Show & Tell item inside the “doggie bag” and encourage them on some points of interest to share with friends. Our next Show & Tell is December 14th and the children will be encouraged to bring their favorite holiday item from around the house.
Thank you Blue Star parents!
