Five Day Morning Class News 12/7/18
Blue Stars Weekly News, Recap, and Preview
This was our last week to play in the Acorn Bakery. In dramatic play the children played in the bakery making bread, muffins, cookies and a variety of baked goods out of playdough. They dressed up with aprons and baker’s hats and had paper/pencils to plan out their bakery menus. The Blue Stars also enjoyed miniature golf in the motor room.
Art this week: Collage, Cookie Cutter Stamping, Spin Art, Easel Painting, Shaving Cream
Literature this week: If you Give a Moose a Muffin, The Duckling Gets a Cookie, The Seven Silly Eaters, Walter the Baker, Albert the Muffin Maker, Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes.
Upcoming Themes: 12/10-12/21 Santa’s Workshop
12/14 Show & Tell (Favorite Holiday item)

*Thank you to everyone who attended parent conferences! Your children are such a JOY to have in Blue Stars and we were excited to share with you how much they are growing and learning.
*Please label ALL your child’s winter items: coats, hats, gloves, etc. Also, please make sure your child’s extra clothes are weather appropriate (long pants, please!)
*Just a reminder- car pick-up each day begins at 11:30 and ends at 11:40. Acorn policy is that kids are called to the gate, front porch, or office at 11:45. Thank you for giving the teachers time to clean the rooms before the afternoon classes begin preparing for their day!
*Show and Tell is every other Friday. Please send your child’s Show & Tell item inside the “doggie bag” and encourage them on some points of interest to share with friends. Our next Show & Tell is December 14th and the children will be encouraged to bring their favorite holiday item from around the house.
Thank you Blue Star parents!
