Happy Friday, Acorn Families! Spring is in the air and The Acorn is a hub of activity. Our butterflies are emerging and we have 34 chicks who have hatched. Speaking of chicks, please donate your old newspapers for our chick habitats. Also, if you are interested in adopting a chick, please let us know. The weather has certainly warmed up this week and we have been excited to have lots of outdoor time. Please remember to send your Acorn student with a water bottle as they are getting hot and sweaty playing on the playground.
Summer camp enrollment has been opened to the community and spots are getting slim. If you are interested in your child attending, be sure to contact us ASAP. If you are looking for additional summer activities for your kiddos, San Antonio Music Masters will be offering a variety of camps and classes. Click here for more information.

The Landa Gardens Conservancy will be hosting their annual May Month celebration on the grounds of Landa library during the month of May. This is a month of FREE activities for adults and children alike. Many current and former Acorn parents serve on the board of this organization and have had an active role in planning the events. This year's events include a teddy bear picnic with Miss Anastasia, Mommy and Me Yoga, an archeological demonstration, a Magik Theater performance, and a Jazz Night in the gardens, among other activities. Given city restrictions, many of these events will have limited spaces for attending in person. Click here for the full schedule of events and to sign up. Spots are filling quickly!
Thank you for your ongoing support. Enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!
