Dedicated Educators Through Thoughtful Leadership
Our dedicated staff hold degrees and certificates and participate each year in ongoing professional development opportunities. They model their love of learning by incorporating developmentally appropriate play, hands-on materials and movement activities into all academic subjects. Faculty members develop strong relationships with the students due to their multi-year connections, enabling teachers to better understand each student’s strengths and challenges and work as a team to support them.
Visionary Leadership and Strong Foundation
As a non-profit organization, The Acorn is governed by a Board of Trustees. The trustees are volunteers; they include school leaders, alumni parents, professional educators, community members, and friends of the school. The primary role of the Board is to hold the school’s mission and future in trust. The Board provides strategic direction and fiscal oversight for the school.
