A gift — one-time, monthly or annually — to The Acorn provides immediate support for the people and programs that bring our mission to life. Whether large or small, your contribution directly enhances the student experience—supporting faculty, curriculum, facilities, and our mission. Every gift matters and every donor makes a difference.

Many companies have matching gift programs that can double or triple the value of your gift. Participating in an employee giving campaign or payroll deduction? That counts too!
Please check with your company’s Human Resource Department. The matching gift must be initiated by you after you have contributed to The Acorn. When we receive notification from the company, we verify that your gift was made and complete the necessary documentation. Please contact us if you require any documentation attesting our nonprofit status.
Sometimes the most meaningful gifts are the ones that help make everyday learning possible. The Acorn maintains a wish list of classroom materials, playground resources, books, supplies, and other items that support our students and teachers throughout the year.
By purchasing an item from our wish list, you can make a direct and tangible difference in the lives of our children. Whether you choose one small classroom need or help provide a larger resource, every gift helps create the engaging, hands-on learning environment that makes The Acorn special.
Planned giving offers families, alumni, grandparents, and friends an opportunity to create a lasting legacy by including The Acorn in their long-term financial or estate plans, helping future generations of Acorns learn, grow, and thrive. Options range from real estate, planned gifts in wills/trusts, IRA contributions, and family foundations. Some families elect to set up electronic fund transfers from a brokerage, checking or savings account.
A gift of stocks (or bonds) is an easy way for you to make a gift. By making a gift of your appreciated securities, you can avoid paying capital gains tax that would otherwise be due if you sold these assets. Here are some of the potential benefits:
