A Garden in Millie’s Memory
As part of our exciting new chapter at Tall Oaks, we are creating a special outdoor playground and garden in memory of our beloved Acorn alumna, Millie Kerr.
Millie’s natural curiosity, playful spirit, and love of the world around her were nurtured during her years at The Acorn. Her memory inspires us to create a place where those same qualities can flourish in generations of children.
Butterflies and songbirds will be welcomed into the garden. Children will have opportunities to climb, dig, build, observe, imagine, investigate, and play. The changing seasons, native plants, wildlife, and natural materials will become part of their everyday experience. Millie’s playground and garden will be more than a place to play and grow. It will be a living sanctuary designed to invite children into meaningful relationship with nature.
